Our Pastor is Retiring
As 2018 closes, so concludes my time as your Lead Pastor. These 3½ years have gone by swiftly and include so many blessings, as well as difficult and sad transitions, due to my decline in health. Through it all God was with us and surrounded us with an extra measure of His grace. The modern proverb is true: “God is good…all the time! All the time…God is good!”
The next chapter will be different for both of us, but our relationship continues, based on mutual love and respect. Thank you very much for your steadfast prayers and kind support. Though our time has been short, these have been some of the best years of my pastoral ministry. Be assured of my prayers and support as you now search for a new Lead Pastor. I pray that we will continue to: “Grow in Hope Together through Jesus”, for the Lord’s glory and for His purpose!
May the following words from Philippians 3:12-16 be our commitment for 2019:
“…I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what lies behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. All of us who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you. Only let us live up to what we have already attained.”
With much love always,
