A couple of times per year we will provide an opportunity for a new group to form over the span of 6-12 sessions covering an important subject. This provides a place for those who are not able to commit to a small group to learn together. It also gives an opportunity to dig deeper on some challenging subjects. Examples of this in the past year have been:
Sanctuary Course – 8 sessions learning about mental health and how to start the conversation of supporting those with mental health challenges at church.
Faith, Grieve, and COVID-19 – 4 sessions geared towards looking at a Christian perspective on grief. We looked at how we process our own grief and how to support others in the midst of loss.
Challenging Conversations Listening Circles – 5 sessions geared towards learning about the CRC’s report on Human Sexuality and how to listen to each other well in the midst of challenging subject.
Future learning opportunities may include:
Sanctuary Course Revisited – (8 sessions) Sanctuary Ministries have updated their course. We hope to offer this again.
When Helping Hurts – (6 sessions) Join us in working through the question: How do we love our neighbours both locally and globally?
